Amoudara is located about 6 kilometers west of Heraklion and is easily accessible by bus, taxi, or rental car. Public transport in Heraklion is well developed, with buses running regularly between Amoudara and downtown Heraklion. A taxi ride takes about 15-20 minutes and costs around €10-15. For more flexibility and independence, renting a car is recommended to explore the area around Amoudara and Heraklion.

Take hikes through Crete’s breathtaking landscapes, explore nearby gorges, or go on a boat tour along the coast to discover hidden bays and caves.


Food and Drink:
