Public transport in Heraklion is well developed, with buses running regularly between Amoudara and downtown Heraklion. A taxi ride takes about 15-20 minutes and costs around €10-15. For more flexibility and independence, renting a car is recommended to explore the area around Amoudara and Heraklion.
